Books that shaped our thinking
The ideas and authors we keep returning to.
We accelerate organisations. We align leadership and shape management practices that result in coherence at scale and autonomy close to the action, where people are driven and have the knowledge they need when they need it.
After working in strategy consulting and then building startups, I became increasingly interested in why some organisations create energy, ownership, learning and innovation while others unintentionally suppress them.
That brought me back to leadership and management itself, and ultimately to the question IntotheNXT is built around:

People do their best work when they understand what matters, have the autonomy and capability to act, keep learning, collaborate well and can access the knowledge they need. Good leadership and management create those conditions deliberately, so entrepreneurship and innovation become part of everyday work rather than isolated initiatives.
That is also the impact we want to create: organisations that are more successful, adaptive and innovative, while becoming better places to work. We want to leave behind capabilities that continue to create value after we are gone.
IntotheNXT draws on a deliberately eclectic body of thinking about strategy, entrepreneurship, human behaviour, organisations and technology. These are the books, ideas and voices we return to in client work and build into our methods.
The ideas and authors we keep returning to.
Short provocations that help leadership teams challenge assumptions.
Clips and talks that explain an important idea better than another twenty slides could.
IntotheNXT remains the senior point of accountability for stakeholder alignment, quality and outcomes. Where needed, we work side by side with operators who have done the work before, and technical people who can build what is needed.
Money matters, but intrinsic motivation from purpose, autonomy, mastery and belonging is the key to great work, true satisfaction and performance.
Numbers are hard facts. Emotions are too. Ignore either and you miss what is really going on.
Transparency and vulnerability do not remove accountability.
Quick turnarounds, deliberate about where quality matters most.
The body needs exercise, and the mind needs flow. Sustainable performance requires both intensity and recovery.
Clarify the direction, build the capability, or focus on one specific value-creation opportunity.
